Sip & Support
Each month, Allergy and Asthma Parents hosts an evening meet up, Sip and Support, for families and care givers to meet and connect.
In Stockport, our current Sip and Support meetings are at The Governor’s House in Cheadle Hulme. Dates and times are frequently updated on our social media and WhatsApp groups.
The meetings offer families a chance to have an informal chat with other families managing similar conditions. Individuals can relax and unload and offer and or ask for advice.
As a support group, we bring our relevant resources as well as trainer adrenaline auto-injectors. We frequently have a topical theme for the evening, such as managing starting school, that we will lead discussion towards, though all topics of conversation are discussed.
Wonderful friendships have been formed during our Sip and Support meetings and it is always an event that we look forward to attending and everyone is welcome. Whether you are a new parent and in those early days considering the possibility of CMPA, eczema or other allergy, if you have no allergies and would like to learn more or come and support a friend, if your children have all outgrown their allergies but you have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share or if you are in the depths of managing these conditions every day, everyone is welcome. The support we offer will look different to all individuals, we hope to be able to support and signpost families to all of the care and support available to them.
We ask that no children over 6 months attend these evening meetings.
